Paper Plate Masks

Paper plate masks are easy and inexpensive. Plates are easy to paint and decorate. Use the thinner plates for more flexibility. You can cut the plates in half so that students can speak more clearly.  Or if you can cut them into quarters for the sharper-faced animals (fox, wolf).

Fasten the plate on the student’s face with yarn ties. Be sure to hole punch on the side of the plate. You can staple the yarn and tie a knot in the yarn behind the staple. Another thought is to use the thicker paper plate as the base for a paper mache mask.
